The March 2024 meeting of FMburgh, the Pittsburgh FileMaker Developer Group, took place on Wednesday, March 6 at 7:00 PM EST. Attendees were able to join us in-person at the Eat’n Park restaurant in Robinson Twp or virtually via Zoom for this hybrid session.
For this meeting, we were pleased to welcome Vincenzo (Vince) Menanno, Chief Innovation Officer at Beezwax, to the virtual podium. Vince is the author of InspectorPro, a leading FileMaker development tool that provides in-depth FileMaker solution analysis.
The agenda for the evening included a guided tour of InspectorPro 8, where performance is the key highlight. The initial analysis baseline is impressively 3x to 5x faster than InspectorPro 7. Where the new architecture truly excels is during incremental analysis, boasting speeds ranging from 10x to an astounding 100x faster. Attendees discovered the seamless and automated ways to trigger the analysis process, whether scheduled or scripted, enabling you and your team to focus on development without missing a beat.
At the end of the meeting, attendees of Claris Engage 2024 had an opportunity to share their thoughts and highlights since this was the first “DevCon” since August 2019. As is our custom, we also opened the floor to general FileMaker discussion before the end of our time together.
