As part of our regular meeting schedule, FMburgh, the Pittsburgh FileMaker Developer Group, takes our customary mid-summer break in July. That means our next meeting be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 7:00 PM EDT. We hope you can join us in-person or virtually for this hybrid session.
The agenda for the evening combines FileMaker Roundtable and a FileMaker Show-n-Tell. Designing and building a Claris FileMaker solution to collect data from various sources is only part of the project. Providing reports (on paper or on screen) that display the data in a meaningful way and allow the user to make informed decisions is just as important, if not more so, to the completion of the project. We will discuss the various reporting options available to us as developers. We’ll share helpful tips on functions to include in your own system as well as the pitfalls to avoid. If you have a cool reporting tool that you’ve built into a solution, please be prepared to share it.
As is our custom, we will open the floor to general FileMaker discussion at the end of the meeting if time permits so bring your questions. Hopefully, with a room full of FileMaker experts, we’ll have the answers.
Also, for those joining us in-person, we are meeting in a different venue. The small meeting room at the Eat ‘n Park restaurant in Robinson Twp is now the place for for smiles and FileMaker discussion. For those that can join us, we will gather at 6:30 PM to share some food before beginning the official meeting at 7:00. The restaurant is located at 100 Park Manor Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
