Due to some unexpected circumstances with our host, the next meeting of FMburgh, the Pittsburgh FileMaker Developer Group, has changed from a hybrid session to an online-only format.
The meeting takes place on Wednesday evening, November 2, 2022 at 7:00 PM EDT. We hope you can join us virtually.
We plan to return to in-person gatherings with our December meeting. However, if you have any COVID-19 concerns or if you live well outside the Pittsburgh area, please do not worry. As we meet in-person, we will continue to offer a remote attendance option in case you are unable to make it to Bakery Square for any reason.
The agenda for November’s meeting includes a roundtable table discussion centered around the topic It Depends. Inspired by the discussion session at the recent PauseOnError event lead by Chris Irvine, owner and senior technology consultant at Threeprong.com LLC, we will talk about the many dependencies we can build into our Claris FileMaker solutions. Do we rely on a particular plug-in or external API, or do we build what we need in FileMaker? Can we count on the connection to the External Sequel Source, or do we find another way to transfer data between systems? We’ll discuss the pros and cons of these scenarios and many others over the course of the evening.
As is our custom, we will open the floor to general FileMaker discussion at the end of the meeting if time permits so bring your questions. Hopefully, with a room full of FileMaker experts, we’ll have the answers.
You can use the form below to let us know you’ll be there. Mark you calendars and make plans to join us!
