The December 2020 meeting of FMburgh, the Pittsburgh FileMaker Developer Group, was held on Wednesday, December 2 in an online-only format due to both the regional and national health directives related to COVID-19.
The agenda for the evening included a FileMaker Show-n-Tell as we welcome Fritz Motschman from UPMC Sign Planning & Design and Daniel Shanahan from New Leaf Data, LLC to the virtual podium. Fritz walked us through an in-house solution which tracks every one of UPMC’s real estate holdings and features a visual catalog of all signage programming for each site. Then, Daniel gave us a tour of Trayse Inventory, an inventory management system built on the FileMaker platform. Each presentation gives us the opportunity to see how they have solved real-world problems using the wonderful tool that is FileMaker.
As is our custom, we opened the floor for additional discussion following the official presentations.
