Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 3rd, and for the first time FMburgh’s history, we are taking the FMburgh show on the road as we look for an opportunity to do something fun and different for our end-of-summer meeting. Instead of meeting in the evening at Bakery Square, we will gather in the morning at the Holiday Inn Express near the Allegheny County Airport for our meeting and discussion. Then, we will move the few miles down the road and spend the afternoon hours having some much deserved fun at Kennywood.
The agenda for the morning includes a roundtable discussion centered around the topic “DevCon 2016 Takeaways” as those who attended FileMaker DevCon 2016 discuss the things they saw, heard and learned in Las Vegas. Also, our own Beth Latta from IT Solutions Consulting, Inc. will be sharing on a topic of her choice, inspired by her time at DevCon. Then, we will move the few miles down the road and spend the afternoon hours at Kennywood. This gives us an opportunity to connect with our fellow FileMaker users and developers in a relaxed setting. We can even discuss best practices or favorite development techniques while waiting in line for the roller coasters and other classic rides.
Despite our best effort, we were unable to secure a group rate for the Kennywood tickets. However, as luck would have it, August 3rd is a Smart Day at Kennywood, meaning tickets can be purchased in advance for only $27.99 – an almost $20 savings off of the regular admission price. The link to the Kennywood web site is included below.
Also, this event is not limited to regular FMburgh attendees. If you would like to bring a roller coaster riding buddy (or two), please feel free to do so.
To help us plan, we ask that you submit an RSVP and indicate if you plan to join us for the morning session, the afternoon session or for both. Again, please note that you will need to purchase your ticket (or tickets) for Kennywood using the link below. To secure the discount rate of $27.99, tickets must purchased online and before 07/31/2016.
