At this meeting of FMburgh, we were pleased to welcome Mike Beargie, an Application Developer with MainSpring, Inc., to the virtual podium for the evening’s presentation, “The Road to Rapid Development”.
On the way to developing his first native iOS app, Mike realized how truly lucky FileMaker developers are. FileMaker takes care of so many components for us, that it’s hard to remember just how rapid development is. Using a behind-the-scenes tour of his app, CoreScope, we compared the development process in Xcode against FileMaker. Afterwards, we took a look at a few other platforms considered as alternatives to FileMaker, and had an open discussion about these platforms.
