The April 2021 meeting of FMburgh, the Pittsburgh FileMaker Developer Group, was held on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 7:00 PM EDT. While each passing month gets us closer to gathering in-person soon at Bakery Square in the University of Pittsburgh, Dept. of Rehabilitation Science and Technology Conference Room, this meeting remained a virtual-only event.
The agenda for the evening included a roundtable discussion centered around the topic FileMaker Forensic Investigations. With the Script Debugger and the Data Viewer, FileMaker developers have two handy tools at their disposal for finding a problem in a script or calculation. However, problems with a FileMaker solution are not limited to just those two areas. We discussed the tips and tricks that have helped us figure out what was really going on when any issues arose. Hopefully, everyone left the meeting with a new technique or two for finding and addressing those problems we may encounter in our development and programming.
As is our custom, we also opened the floor for additional discussion before the meeting concluded.
In case you missed the meeting or want to go back and review something that was said, the meeting was recorded and is available for viewing at your convenience.
